Godzilla a myth by Lycan_ Jedi

Once there was a wicked King named Gojira. He was not always mean. For when he was a child he was considered to be a hero. He helped people without any thought otherwise. However one day an evil Warlock placed a spell on him which made him evil. He began to hurt and even kill some of the people in Tokyo. The people began to fear him. One day, when he was older and terrorizing the citizens the gods became angry with him and his army of followers.

After being called to Mariono,  the home of the Gods, he begged them to spare he and his army's lives. The great God Mengtu said he would spare their lives on one condition, if he helped save all the citizens he had terrorized.Even their ancestors whenever they were in trouble.
Gojira agreed to this but the God said, "You still must be punished in some way." Right after he said that Gojira let out a bloodcurdling scream. He then passed out.

When he awoke he was lying on his back on an island.  Had it all been a dream? As he wondered what had happened he realized Mengtu was there. "So it wasn't a dream." he thought. Mengtu told Gojira he was on an island called Monster Island, and that Gojira would from then on be called "Godzilla King of the Monsters." When Godzilla asked why he was called King of the Monsters he did not hear his voice but a loud roar. When he looked at his reflection in the water he saw a giant, green monster with red eyes. It took him 10  seconds to realize he was the monster.

Even though he wanted to cry he didn't,after all he was in the presence of a God. Mengtu told him in order to turn back to his human self he must save as many lives as he had taken or hurt. Thus to this day Godzilla and his army of fellow monsters continue to help people all over the world so that they may be human again.
So this is a story I wrote for a school project almost 10 years ago. We were supposed to come up with a myth similar to Greek Mythology, I think. I remember my teacher at the time said it was really good and I should take up writing. She even went so far as to tell me she wanted to submit some of my assignments (including this one) to a publisher. Well to my teachers Mr Rodgers, Mrs. Zugg, Mrs. Young, and Mrs. Rutledge, (Kunz at the time belated Congratulations BTW.) Thank you. Thank you for encouraging me to do something I absolutely love. Happy new year Everyone!
